Club Business: Pres. Rick Beck
Rick announced that the foundation board approved $10,000 for relief aid to Houston following Hurricane Harvey. Brent's daughter lives in Richmond and Marty's cousin lives in League City. Both towns were affected and it was decided to send $5000 to each Rotary Club in the respective towns' juridiction. Brent spoke to the president of the Richmond club and Marty corresponded by email to the president of the League City Club so communication has been opened. The need is great and recovery will take a long time. To increase our support, we will solicit contributions by working with the OS Chamber of Commerce. They will do an email blast. Police Chief Spera is also heading up fund for relief as well. Pat Setembrino will draft a letter on behalf of the club askingfor funds.
