The Brownfield Site Study investigated possible environmental violations/concerns of the land and water. A marketing feasibility study for the area was also conducted. Results of these studies will be made public in the near future.

2.)    Marketing Effort: the Town of Old Saybrook has invested $10,000.00 in a marketing campaign targeting light industrial businesses, possibly biotech companies, for route #1. An effort will also be made to increase tourism during the “off” season.

3.)    North Main Street Project: Includes paving, drains, sidewalks, and lighting from route #1 to the new commuter parking lot. This should be completed by the end of October.

4.)    Main Street Parking Lot: Located across from The Kate. The parking area, phase one, should be completed in a few weeks while phase two, a small park, will be completed in 2018.
