Program: Alzheimer’s Association presented by Seana Dyer, Walk Manager
The Alzheimer’s Association works on a global, national, and local level to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Their vision is: A world without Alzheimer’s. They help with local chapters, a 24/7 Helpline, over 4,500 support groups, comprehensive online resources for caregivers, education programs, a research grant program, and advocate for critical Alzheimer’s research, prevention and care initiatives at the state and federal level. The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Seana Dyer, Walk Manager for the New London Walk on 9/15/18, encouraged us to participate as walkers (2 to 3 miles), sponsors, or as event volunteers. 80% of all donations go directly to care, support, and research.
