Happy Bucks: The sunshine, the good day, the companionship of club members, many for Gary McCauley (a prospective new member), and several for the survey committee.
Announcements: Jan Perruccio reviewed the results of the online survey about the frequency and times of future club meetings. The survey committee recommends that we continue to meet every week but that the time and purpose of the meetings will change. A draft of a calendar for September 2018 through August 2019 was given to each member. Each month will have a business meeting (morning), a student of the month meeting (morning), a lunch or evening social meeting and another morning meeting. We will continue to have a dinner meeting on the 5th Wednesday of the month. A vote to approve the calendar will take place on August 22, 2018.
Pat Settembrino circulated a sign-up sheet for Rotary Club shirts. Members were encouraged to purchase and wear the shirts to any and all public functions. This will indicate to the community that we are a united and viable organization serving the towns of Old Saybrook, Lyme/Old Lyme and Westbrook. Members pay $10.00 towards the shirt, the club will pay the remaining $22.00. Now that’s a great deal!
