Happy Bucks: Several for the Torchlight Parade and the Rotary Team, many for the students, parents, grandparents, and educators; the excellent (?) hot chocolate, and our Rotary Club.

Program: Student of the Month: Social Studies- Jan Perruccio

Superintendent of Schools, Jan Perruccio, introduced the students, teachers, and administrators from each school district.
Westbrook High School: Alyssa Sirisoukh was described by principal, Tara Winch, and teacher, Lindsay Stopa, as an independent learner who excels in all areas of study. Alyssa is an inquisitive, detail oriented student who was the driving force behind the initial AP US History course being offered at WHS. She is planning on attending UCONN or Hofstra University where she will study bio chemistry and genetics.

Lyme/Old Lyme High School: Lauren Birk was described by assistant principal, Jeanne Manfredi, and teacher, Christina Todd, as an honor student that is extremely involved in extracurricular activities. She is a standout in her Global Issues class and is destined to become a “world citizen”. She is an excellent role model for her peers as well as the faculty. Lauren will be studying psychology at UCONN with a goal of becoming a social worker.

Old Saybrook: Timothy Jacoboski was described by principal, Sheila Riffle, and teacher, Karen Torre, as the student who best exemplifies R.A.M. Pride. He is active in the National Honor Society and plays a major role in the success of the Drama Department. He has completed a civics internship and is a star in AP US History. Tim plans on entering a School of Nursing in the Fall.

Marty thanked the club members who helped at the Torchlight Parade. Thanks to Pat, Gary, Joan, Jan, John, Brent, the 2 Charlies, Sam, Pete, Donna, son-in-law Dan.
