Sergeant’s Report: Pete Zucco  

Happy Bucks: Many for the students going to Honduras in July, the beautiful sunrise, several for the Wine Tasting/Auction Fundraiser on 2/1/19.

Raffle: Pete Zucco (really?), Donna Lash, Ian Mason (student).

Program: Amber Scherber: Amber introduced the thirteen students who will be going to Honduras to participate in a biodiversity study of a great barrier reef. The students described what they hope to learn and the activities they will be responsible for completing. Topics included: Biodiversity research projects, ecological importance of the reef, coral bleaching, reef preservation, SCUBA diving, the culture of Honduras, and what previous student visitors learned while on an earlier trip. After the presentation, students submitted an Outreach Application. Action will be taken on the application at the next meeting. The following is a list of the participating students: Carrington Hartt, Kayla Holt, Chloe Ellinas, Megan Kapij, Tristan Novakowski, Eliza Scherber, Brett Bjorkman, Ian Mason, Griffin Noack, Kristina Alsante, Mackenzie Cart, and Kate Heiden.

 
 

 Announcements:

                Amber updated us on this year’s INTERACT Club activities. They include: School Supply Drive for a school in New Orleans, Jingle Bell Run, participation in RYLA and the World Affairs Seminar.

                Marty updated progress on the Wine Tasting Event.( 2/1/19) Donation and sponsor lists should be given to Marty by Tuesday, January 29th in order to be included in the printed program.
