The Clinton Rotary Club will be joining us at our evening meeting on the fifth Wednesday in October. 10/30/19

The Old Saybrook Police Department will be celebrating its 60th anniversary during the month of October. Several public events are being planned and the Rotary Club will be donating $500.00 towards celebrating this occasion.

District Governor, Jack Soloman, will be attending our meeting on September 11, 2019.

Program: Max Sabin, Wreaths Across America

Each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as more than 1600 additional locations in all 50 States. In our area, Wreaths Across America trucks will be transporting wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery and will be making its only scheduled stop in Connecticut at Old Saybrook High School on December 10th. Max invited the Rotary to attend the program. The Outreach Committee will be donating $750.00 to this outstanding, nationwide program to honor and remember those who have served our country.

Tari Marshall-Day, Assistant District Governor.

Tari addressed the Club about increasing membership. A task made easier due to flexibility in attendance, a meaningful role for every age group, and the freedom to initiate projects and write for grants. She urged us to adopt technology as social media is playing a larger role in our club and our lives. Tari graciously volunteered to help any and all of us to become technology savvy. Just give her a call. A lively trivia quiz and raffle concluded her presentation. Thank you Tari for an informative program.
