Program: O.S. Park and Rec: Disc Golf Presentation

Rob and Ray, representing the Park and Rec. Department, presented the history of the popular sport of Disc Golf and a proposal for a course to be constructed at the town park on Schoolhouse Road. Disc Golf is rapidly growing in popularity due to its appeal to all age groups and athletic abilities. The 18 hole course would be located in the area around Crystal Lake where several challenging water holes will be constructed. There will be very little environmental impact. Mature trees are a vital part of the course and will not be removed. The underbrush will be removed from the fairways and tee boxes and benches will be installed at each hole. Estimated cost of the project is $72,000.00. The Legacy Project Committee will review the project and recommend the level of our club’s involvement.

Next Meeting: December 11th at Saybrook Point Inn at 7:00am. Student of the Month.
