   Happy Bucks: Happy to see everyone, the great weather and sunshine, the in person meeting, and to see good friends. Rev. Ed was happy that his wife knitted him a pair of the most comfortable wool socks (and good looking, too!).

President’s Update: Eventgroove-John G. will take the lead on this; Website upgrade-meeting with vendor next week; Amber and the INTERACT Club at OSHS will be setting a Club Facebook page; Bill Tait, from Essex Financial, will be making a presentation about the Foundation in the near future.

Macaroni Dinner: October 18th, Fireman’s Field, Take-out only.
John distributed 10 tickets to each member. Included with the tickets was an easy to follow procedure sheet and an important facts sheet. In addition to Liberty Bank, more sponsors are needed. See John with your ideas. See our webpage in the activities section.

Omaha Steaks sent a fundraiser check for $60.69 for the past month’s sales.

Membership: Potential new member sheets were distributed.

Next Meeting: Ron Webb, District Governor, and Tari Marshall-Day, Assistant Governor, will join our Zoom meeting on September 2nd.

Outreach:


After a moving presentation by Joan Michaud, the Club voted to donate $1,500.00  to Old Saybrook Social Services to be used for students in need.

Other Topics:


Pat DeVito reported that our donation to Shoreline Soup Kitchens helped 100 families the towns of Old Saybrook, Westbrook, and Old Lyme.

This was our second in person meeting at Johnny Ad’s. An inside venue is being explored. Give Gary your ideas for a location that will allow for social distancing.
