PROGRAM

Charlie Norz introduced Bill Tait, Essex Financial. Essex Financial has been handling “The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook Foundation investments for several years.

“The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook Foundation” board of directors includes Kathy Callinan, Club Treasurer, Sam Fulginiti Club Past President, Gary McCauley Club President, Jan Perruccio Ex Officio, Charlies Norz Chair

Our investments have been doing very well the past several months up 2-1/2 % year to date. Growth has been picking up and earnings ae moving up, as is household income.  Bill feels that we are invested correctly and with a moderate amount of risk.

The portfolio is approx. 25% fixed, 25% international and growth, with 50% U S investments.

PRESIDENT’S UPDATE

1 PPP delivery coming soon, October 5. 2020 picking up 3,000 masks in New Haven will go to Middlesex Health.

2. Remember Liberty Bank Turkey Drive with Happy Bucks  $0.25 to our $1.00 goes to the drive.

3. The Rotary Club of Madison shared the info on their new fund raiser, will pursue

4. Brent reported no Heat Dinner this year. Sign-up sheet sent around and on website for M O W

FUND RAISING

1.) Macaroni dinner plans on for Sunday October 18. 2020 Fireman’s Field.  Moving forward. Each Rotarian will receive 10 tickets to sell. Extra tickets available. Advertising campaign under way, Harbor News, Old Saybrook Neighbors, etc. 

2.) Posters coming Digital Signs on 10/11/20

7.) Special Note: with all of the discussion about the Macaroni Dinner at Fireman’s Field and our concern for Bob Antoniac I want to point out that Bob Antoniac built the recreation hall at Fireman’s Field. Many years ago. Good job!

2.    John Giannini introduced Robin Morrell. Robin wishes to transfer to The Rotary club of Old Saybrook from The Rotary Club of Southington. Robin was very active in The Rotary Club of Southington, such as Past President and being involved in many Club events. Robin has moved to Old Saybrook and is looking forward to becoming an active member of The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook.
