Thank you for that great news.

Review of an article from the Rotary magazine: Gary explained the RI’s position on environmental issues which emphasizes acting locally. Gary then suggested a possible environmental project for OS Rotary. After a meeting with Pat S. and Larry Bonin, head of the DOPW, it was agreed that the OS Rotary would investigate the possibility of building a structure at the O.S. Transfer Station. This structure would house the “re-use table” and protect the items (treasures) from the weather while also encouraging residents to donate or re-use the items. This structure, according to Mr. Bonin, will help to keep 10 tons of material out of the transfer bins per month by simply finding new owners for perfectly usable items. Marty has offered to donate a large tent to serve as a temporary solution until the permanent structured is completed.
