Guest Speaker: Michael Panicello – MUFON (Mutual Unidentified Flying Objects Network)
MUFON is a U.S. based non-profit organization composed of civilian volunteers who study reported UFO sightings. It is one of the oldest and largest organizations of its kind, with more than 4,000 members worldwide with chapters in 43 countries and all 50 states. The group has more than 500 field investigators and specialized teams to investigate possible physical evidence of extra-terrestrial craft. Michael has been the Director of the Connecticut chapter since 2013. He focused his presentation on sightings in our state. So far this year, there have been 28 sightings in Connecticut. 2020 had 46 while 2019 had a total of 64. The most common shape of the UFO is a triangle with white lights on the points and a red light in the center. Along the coast, orbs are the most common. These orange, translucent balls appear in clusters and are slow moving. There have also been three alien abductions reported in Connecticut. For more information about sightings and the activities of MUFON visit the website: mufonct.com
