Today’s Program: Bill McLaughlin

Every winter Bill travels to Bonita Springs, Fla. in his RV with his wife Rose. One morning Bill decided to ride his bike. He had rode just under 20 miles and on his last ½ mile leg back to the camp ground, he was hit by a car. The jolt caused Bill to become airborne, hit the ground very hard causing many cuts, bruises and 4 to 5 cracked vertebra’s in the neck. He was transported to a local hospital and stayed for two days. Thank God he was wearing his helmet!!! The campground Bill was staying at accommodated Bill by finding another site for them to stay an extra month to recuperate. Florida is a no fault insurance state so he is working through all the medical claims and paperwork. Bill got his bike put together yesterday and will continue to ride.

Moral of the Story: Always wear your helmet. It can save your life.

Five Way Test of the things we think, say, or do
    1) Is it the truth?
    2) Is it fair to all concerned?
    3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
    4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
    5) Is it fun? (This one is unofficial but we put it in anyway)
