There were two other students in attendance, Haley Grunwald, president of the Old Saybrook Interact Club and Gaby Carvajal who was chosen to be the student ambassador to attend the World Affairs Seminar in Wisconsin June 18 - June 24.

Other Business:
Brent gave a report on the golf tournament. Despite a difficult economy, we will clear about $18K. Marty thanked the volunteers without whom, we could not run such a successful event. They are, Bob Antoniac, Jess, Joan M, Wells Lippincott, Fred Taylor, Gerri, Grace Taylor, Mason Smith, Al Lindquist, Andy, Matt V, Paul, Bill Bernhart, Ken Roche, Marty and Joan C. Of course Brent and Sandy did the organizing and kept us focused.

Bob Hester thanked the club for its donation to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen. Bob is the Executive Director and together with matching funds from the district and other contributions, the total came to about $6,000. The Shoreline Soup Kitchen can provide 3 meals for every dollar so this will go a long way. The SSK produces over 1 million meals a year!

Paul announced that next week the club will present a check for the D.A.R.E. program to the Old Saybrook Police Dept. Old Lyme will receive money as well but not as much since they have other funding sources.

The installation dinner meeting will be held June 29 at Luigi's Restaurant. The cost is $20pp. Please come out and support the new leadership and thank the outgoing President, Joan Camire for a job well done!
