Old Saybrook Rotary Club Day of Service Project: Food Drive
As the Old Saybrook Rotary Club prepares for its annual Day of Service Project, our food pantries in Old Saybrook, Old Lyme and Westbrook will be the recipients of items collected at this Food Drive. Every item donated will make a real difference to local families struggling with food insecurity.
On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Rotarians will gather and collect non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other paper products at 4 different locations across our 3 towns: Stop and Shop in Old Saybrook, BIG Y in Old Saybrook, Westbrook Town Hall Green in Westbrook, and the Fire House in Old Lyme.
The most needed food items include canned beans, canned/dry fruit, peanut butter, tuna fish, soups, pasta, and rice. Toilet paper, paper towels and diapers are the most needed paper items.
In this one day, we can all make a difference in the lives of people, igniting a ripple effect of kindness and lasting change. For more information or to volunteer contact Joan Winters at 860 861 881 or wj.winters81@gmail.com
