PROGRAM: Julis Kushigian, New London Rotary “Peace Poles”
District 7980 is promoting “Peace Poles”. Julia talked about the initiatives that The Rotary Club of New London have taken to promote this initiative. Events have been scheduled at The Gard in New London, Julia has given talks at The New London Public Library, The New London Rotary has worked to involve students and to connect with then in as many ways as possible. District 7980 will continue to promote “Peace Poles’ for the remainder of the rotary year

PRESIDENTS REPORT, Nancy Morin
1.) Nancy received a note from Pat Devito for “Flags For Heroes.” Vote taken to send Pat $50.00 to buy a flag.
2.) Turkey Drive: All happy bucks go to the Turkey Drive funds matched by Liberty Bank $0.25 on the dollar. Look for Turkey Legs around town.
3.) Scarecrows: Scarecrows are up around town. Be sure to vote.
4.) John Aforismo gave each member a new badge. Good looking, use it.

A.) Dinner is Sunday October 20,2024 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM
B.) Need help Saturday 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM setup.
C.) Banners are up.
D.) Need help Sunday putting up tents.
E.) We will have a donation box for the “Turkey Drive.”
F.) VFW 6-8 takers on the free meals
G.) The boys will shop on Friday.
