PRESIDENTS REPORT: Nancy Morin
- District 7980 Leadership conference scheduled for Saturday January 18, 2925. Thirteen members have signed up to attend.
- John Aforismo reported that the By Laws committee has completed their work and the updated By Laws will be presented to the Club for discussion and approval. John urged every member to consider being an office of the Club.
- The Wreaths Across America event at Riverview Cemetery last Saturday morning. Rotarians Ed Pinn, Kathy Nadeau, and Bill McLaughin helped put wreaths on veterans’ gravesites.
- Marty Drobiarz reported that there will be a Menorah Lighting on the Town Green Thursday December 26th at 5:00 PM. This is the 2nd year organized by Liz Meyer. Christmas and Chanukah are on the same day. Plan on attending.
- President Nancy gave special recognition to members serving the Club. Kathy Callanan Treasurer, John Aforismo Secretary, Debra Lee, and Maryann Colwick as Sargent at Arms. Thanks!
- DG Robert Friend recognized The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook for all its activities especially the new Peace Pole unveiling. Job well done - great year!
- Guest Pastor Todd Yonkman urged everyone to attend the Carol Sing at First Church of Christ in Old Saybrook, Sunday December 22nd 5:00 PM

$2000.00 approved for “Warm The Children” program. - Peace Pole, Rosanne Farrell
Rosanne unveiled our Peace Pole. The Peace message on The Pole will be written in four languages, English, Spanish Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese. The Peace Poles are RI’s symbol for peace in the world. - Torchlight Parade, Marty Drobiarz
Our 36th Torch Light Parade went very well. The night was cold, but the event was great. All food and hot chocolate, made with milk this year, was all consumed. Thanks to all that helped with the event, This is The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook in action.
