Announcements:
Bill O'Shaughnessy: Last Saturday, a group of students led by Bill O'Shaughnessy left at 4:30 for the United Nations in NY to observe Rotary UN Day. Exchange student, Clement Lefrancq also went and had his picture taken in the French section. In all 600 students representing 41 countries were there as well as 800 Rotarians.
Marty and Gerri talked about the upcoming Wine Tasting. Now is the time to be active and sell tickets and gather items for the silent auction because Friday the 20th is about a week away. Marty stressed the importance of selling tickets - club members account for more ticket sales by far than sales from walk-ins due to advertising. We need a successful event to further our programs and giving so lets go!
Ron Scott: There are 3 vacancies on the scholarship committee. Ron does the analysis and 2 to 3 meetings are needed to choose the scholarship recipients from the 3 towns.
