Announcements:
Bob Chase: There will be a holiday party - date to be announced
Marty: The Wine Tasting is coming up soon and much needs to be done. Tickets need to be sold and auction items are needed. Mike is collecting the items and needs to be given the information about the donor and item in advance. Marty solicited and received items from new donors like Sleepy's, SWAG and Alforno Restaurant, and got a big donation from Cafe Routier ($200 gift certificate). Things are looking good but now we have to work to finish strong so lets go!
Bob Antoniac: Spaghetti dinner tonight at the Clark Field Pavilion sponsored by Matt Rubin with food donated by Stop & Shop to raise money for heating fuel. Its only $10 and all the money raised goes to a most worthy cause.
Jason Smith: So far over $495 has been collected at the Liberty Bank for the Thanksgiving turkey give-away.
Bill Bernhart: Announced the Womens Club of Old Saybrook has made a $500 donation to Warm the Children

Program: Gerri introduced June Getchius
June is the president of the Womens Club of Old Saybrook. She talked about Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in terms of awareness and the lack of information available. One out of 150 children are diagnosed with one of these syndromes and yet there is very little information in the library is available until now. The Womens Club donated over 50 books on the subject. June gave out sheets listing the books. They can be found in various sections of the library since some are for children, some are reference material and some may be found in the fiction section. Now, parents may obtain books on the subject at no cost.
