Peter read a thank you letter from Chief Mosca for our contribution to the Old Saybrook D.A.R.E program
We also had a notice from the Ivoryton Playhouse that they offer a special price to Rotarians on Thursdays. – See Peter.
Donna talked about her 38 years of experience as a flight attendant. She started her career back in the days when there were age, height, weight, etc. requirements. Not so now. She talked about being in Brazil on 9/11/2001, and that was one of the most frightening times in her life.
Many people look at flight attendants as flying waitresses, and they do serve food, beverages and snacks, but security was a big part of training and the everyday job. Donna also had to deal with several serious medical issues. There were many trying times.
Donna had lots of “war stories” – some funny and some not so funny. She did make the mistake of letting Brent ask a question, and we all known how crude they can be.
Only 22 members attended – Let’s see some make-ups!
