Exchange student, Sofia Portukhay from the Ukraine spoke to club talking about her experiences and grateful for the opportunity to study in the US. She has visited many sights in Conn. and out of state as well. Sofia has lived with 3 host families including the Davids. Sofia enjoys studying art although she has taken courses in physics, chemistry, geometry and more and has done well in those subjects. Sofia leaves for home on June 30.
Brent reminded the club that the golf tournament is next week. At next weeks meeting, the day before, we will fill up the ditty bags - Bob Antoniac will coordinate the assembly line. To date, we have 87 golfers (max allowed is 144) and 135 tee box equivelents. The goal is 250. Please email new sponsors to Sandi.
Matt Vogt attended a fundraiser by the Madison club - a satire show that was very entertaining. The show was 2-1/2 hours long. General admission was $40. We should consider this as an alternative to the Wine Tasting.
