Bill Suits is recovering from surgery and is doing well.
Mike Velgouse: Contact Mike if you plan on attending the RI Convention
Peter Manley: Reminded the club that donations to the RI Foundation are due by June 1.
Gerri: Gerri talked about the DARE graduations at the Middle School and St. Johns (Grades 5,6). Both ceremonies were fun to attend and the kids were in to it. Gene said it was inspiring and uplifting to see.
Treasurers Report: John
John passed out the latest spreadsheets for the club and foundation. The only recent expense was Bob Chases attendance cost to PETS which is the weekend training session for new club presidents. The foundation expenses included Bikes for Kids and Community Outreach donations. John will report on our investments at a later date but Brent mentioned that markets have been less volatile of late. We did have some losses due to the economy and resultant market fluctuations.
New Member Induction:
Bill McLaughlin inducted our newest member, Matt Vogt (sponsor Peter Manley). Matt is a computer IT person who works for Nerds to Go, a well known company that fixes computers and networks. Matt is married with two boys. Welcome to the club Matt!
Golf Tournament Business: Brent
Brent and Sandi said we really need to get going, we are off to a slow start and its time to put the metal to the pedal. If you get a new sponsor, please email or call Sandi with the exact copy. Please let Marty know if you can work the day of the tournament and the time you can work.
