Next Weeks meeting is an evening meeting at the Dock & Dine. It is the time for our changing of the guard with installation of our new officers.
Bill Suits had what he called a miracle back operation and is now pain free. He must rehab now and re-learn some things but he is doing just fine.
Club Business - with no formal program, the following things were discussed:
Bill Suits talked about Ron Czepiel, a Rotary member for many years who passed away about 3 years ago. It was Rons wish to help those people less fortunate thru a substantial gift to the club foundation. Bill started the Outreach Program which does just that. Today, this club program has a budget of $13,000 and is headed by Bill Bernhart who handed out a sheet of disbursements. There is a lot of work that goes into this program and the committee is to be commended.
The club took a vote for our choice of candidates for RI President 2010-2011. The club endorsed Daniel Mooers from the club of South Portland-Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
Charlie Norz passed out the budget for our Foundation. The club voted to accept the budget with performance data is to follow from John Donnelly.
