Bowser for a great trip to Washington DC and Lee, happy to be in control.
Announcements:  Bob Hester mentioned that the O.S. Rotary Foundation
committee has been interviewing 3 financial advisor firms and have made a
decision to go with Essex Financial.  The Foundation's portfolio will be
reviewed with Essex every three months to deterimine if any changes in our
     finacial strategies are necessary.
John Donnelly indicated we still need a host family from the Old Lyme area
for our exhange student coming from France.
Marty told us that the wine tasting fundraiser will be on November 21st, more to
     come later.
Mike Velgouse:  indicated some members still have yet to pay their dues.
Someone suggested fines being levied against the late payers.
Business Meeting:  President Keith indicated that the club budget is not set yet
because he would like to have a club fundraiser that would not be too labor
intensive, something that the club might sponser.  He's open to any ideas from
the members.  Mike V. indicated that any club fundraiser might have tax
implications.  This would have to be looked into.
President Keith also wanted an open discussion among the members in regard
to the request made by Bob Cepiel last week, for an additional donation/contibution
from the club to the Katherine Hepburn Center.  Many comments were made in
regard to the club having already made a contribution and whether we would get a
lot of good PR if we did more.  The Hepburn center only needs another $4K to make
their goal.  Comments were made that the bulk of the Foundation's funds were left
to the club by Ronnie Cepiel, Bob's cousin.  It was also mentioned that the foundation
budget would have to be changed to accomodate a donation and the principal left
alone.  President Keith asked for a show of hands for a non binding commitment
to look into the matter further.  It was unanimously passed.  More to come later.
