Program: - Charlie Norz who started the dictionary program described it for the newer members.
We give out dictionaries to the 3rd grade classes in Westbrook, Old Saybrook and Old Lyme.
Rotary members are encouraged to attend the presentations at the various schools, it really
is a rewarding effort. The books cost the club $1.70 each and the labels for the student's
name cost $0.10. The total cost of the project is between $700-800. A great investment in
the education of our kids and a great P.R. activity for the club. Today was assembly day
where we all unpacked the dictionaries and attached the labels to the inside cover and
repacked the boxes The next fun part comes when they're presented to the kids!
